Given the current state of politics in our nation, the question is:
Is America primed for a REVOLUTION?

Let's start with Webster's definition of revolution.
revolution
2 a: a sudden, radical, or complete change
b: a fundamental change in political organization; especially : the overthrow or renunciation of one government or ruler and the substitution of another by the governed
c: activity or movement designed to effect fundamental changes in the socioeconomic situation
d: a fundamental change in the way of thinking about or visualizing something : a change of paradigm
e: a changeover in use or preference especially in technology

Every indication demonstrates that President Bush has led the country in the wrong direction. The Neo-Con vision is out of favor with the majority of Americans. Additionally, the Democratic leadership has equally frustrated and disappointed the majority of Americans. While there are aspects of both parties that do appeal to the citizens, whether they consider themselves R or D, clearly most Americans are not happy with either party on the whole.

Many citizens do not even bother to vote because of the frustration and feeling that it won’t make a difference any way. Those that do vote often are forced to choose between the lesser of two evils rather than voting for a candidate that they passionately feel good about. The idea that a politician is also a public servant seems laughable to many.

In my opinion, the public wants representation of a higher quality than they are getting. The citizens are eager for their representatives in government to be more than politicians. Most people expect that their politicians are professional liars and simply have to live with it. Given the chose between either a politician that tells the people what he thinks they want to hear, or a straight shooting leader, most want the honest straight shooter. Unfortunately that seems to be the choice that voters are never given.

The desire for change is and has been present for quite some time. Up to this point, the opportunity has simply not presented itself. So is America primed for a REVOLUTION? In my opinion, yes.
